  • The Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group, with the support and guidance of its Clinical Advisory Panel, publishes free education materials for people with Addison's regarding the treatment and management of their condition.

Our full range of publications for people with Addison's is listed here and they are available for free download in our publications centre. Print copies of these publications (except those indicated) are sent as part of the postal member's joining pack. Hard copies are also available for purchase from our online shop as the ADSHG information pack (item 304).

ADSHG crisis guidelines
The ADSHG crisis guidelines provide emergency medical treatment guidance for paramedics or hospital staff in the event of a person with Addison's suffering an adrenal crisis. This letter should be signed by your doctor. This document is also available to download in eight foreign languages for those who live or travel abroad.

The ADSHG emergency wallet card is credit card sized and contains advice, authored by the ADSHG Clinical Advisory Panel, on the treatment required to prevent an adrenal crisis in the event of serious injury or illness. It is only available in hard copy form and is sent free to every member upon joining the group.

It contains the latest updates, drug supply news, details of meetings, personal stories and ADSHG group news relevant to anyone with Addison's. It has been published online since September 2005 and the full archive of 50+ newsletters is available to group members here...

Some of the medical information it was based on has been superseded by more recent research and many of the references it contains are now out of date.
